About this model
Overview
The Artisan is a linear vent-free gas fireplace, so it burns without a chimney or vent run and can go where a flue route would be impractical. It is listed in 42, 48 and 60 inch widths and is ordered for natural gas or propane.
The firebox is finished with reflective glass and LED accent lighting behind the flame, with trim and media options to suit the surrounding finish. Because nothing is exhausted outdoors, the manufacturer publishes 99.9% heating efficiency; the trade-off is that vent-free appliances are governed by local rules and by the size and ventilation of the room they serve. The family also includes a see-through version that opens into two spaces.
